Mapping mention rate by ZIP code across Harris and Fort Bend counties reveals geographic clusters where AI assistants concentrate recommendations — and the dead zones where authority is unclaimed.

We pulled mention counts for every Houston dental practice across 131 Harris County ZIPs and 41 Fort Bend ZIPs. The map is not what you would expect from a population overlay.

What the data shows

  • Inside the Loop, the densest mention clusters are in 77002, 77006, and 77019 — well-represented and saturated.
  • Memorial and the Galleria show clustered mentions for cosmetic and implant queries but thin coverage for general and pediatric.
  • Fort Bend ZIPs 77479 and 77494 show outsized pediatric-dental mention concentration, driven by two practices with strong cross-platform citation density.
  • Several ZIPs across northwest Harris County have zero recurring AI mention for any dental query. An operator who claims that authority today will own it for as long as the practice maintains the entity infrastructure.

Why this matters

Hyperlocal AI authority is not yet contested. The cost to dominate a ZIP in mention rate today is an order of magnitude lower than dominating the same ZIP in classical local SEO. That window is unlikely to last more than a few cycles.
